Keeping up to date with the latest guidance for Adult Social Care

The guidance for providers in adult social care can change quite quickly, in response to the ebbs and flows of the pandemic and the emergence of variants of concern.

SCA tries to highlight these changes as they occur in our weekly bulletins and through our Whats App groups for members.

Sometimes ministers will announce changes in letters to adult social care providers or to the general public through press releases before the guidance has been updated. This isn't ideal and can cause confusion. So to ensure you are following the latest guidance, you can check at the following website:

Coronavirus (COVID-19): adult social care guidance - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

The landling page has a contents list, so you can narrow down the guidance you are interested in. Both the landing page and the different sections under contents have a button you can select "See all updates" - this will show you all the issues of the guidance and the dates they were updated. By selecting the latest date, you can ensure you are following the right guidance.

If you want to double check, then we're happy for you to contact the SCA team (sca@surreycare.org.uk) and we can walk through and check together (it's not always obvious!)
