Description

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, caring person to lead a team of Support Workers in supporting our residents during the night, ensuring their safety, assisting with their personal care, preparation of snacks and drinks and the administration of medication.

You will also be required to review and update residents' care plans and carry out supervisions and appraisals for members of the staff team.

Laundry and cleaning duties are also completed overnight.

Downing Care provides a comprehensive training programme and actively supports staff with their professional development.

About the Service

The Chestnuts is a residential care home in Byfleet, Surrey. We provide the best possible care for individuals who may have a Learning Disability, Physical Disability, Epilepsy, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Rett Syndrome or Sensory Impairments.

The Chestnuts comprises three self contained homes, The Willows ( 8 bedrooms), The Beeches (8 bedrooms) and The Cherries (4 bedrooms). All bedrooms are single occupancy and the homes and gardens are fully wheelchair accessible.

At The Chestnuts we recognise the need for a stable, experienced, well trained and motivated staff who can deliver the very best care possible. We have a very loyal staff team, the majority of whom have been with us for many years.

All our residents have an allocated Keyworker who they select from the staff team. The Keyworker is responsible for involving the resident in all aspects of their care and ensuring that the Person Centred Care Plan gives a true reflection of the individuals needs and wishes.
