Woodlarks Centre
The Woodlarks Centre (previously known as The Woodlarks Workshop Trust) was founded in 1949 but people with disabilities have been enjoying outdoor activities, care and attention on this site in Farnham since 1930. A local couple from Lodge Hill Road, Lt Col and Mrs Strover, set up The Woodlarks Campsite Trust in order to give people with disabilities the same opportunities as the able bodied.
During these years the charity grew in size and split in 1949 into The Workshop Trust and the campsite. The Workshop Trust developed into modern 23 en-suite room accommodation for people with range of disabilities at various ages. It has been then renamed as The Woodlarks Centre.
The Woodlarks Centre is regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
It has a board of trustees who have responsibility for the overall direction and decision making of the charity. The day to day operation of the charity is in the hands of the Business Manager and the Care Manager.
The happiness and well-being of each resident is central to everything we do. Residents are all encouraged and supported to live life to the full and take up every opportunity. We have Activity Centre which prides itself in crafts, arts and events. It is also open to community residents who come here to spend their daytime. Home has visiting hairdresser, chiropodist and masseur. We have physiotherapy assistant who supports residents with exercises and rehabilitation
