Just Homes - Pymhurst
Pymhurst is a warm and friendly home for five people with learning disabilities.It is a detached house in a residential area at the centre of Guildford with far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside and is convenient for the many amenities the town has to offer.There is a ‘house’ car which is available for residents to use each day.
The home benefits from a lift to make the upper floor of the house wheelchair accessible and has wheelchair accessible bathrooms.
The home is managed by Alison Jelley and she is supported by a very able and highly trained staff team.Pymhurst’s residents have access to a variety of different activities, adult education classes, day centres and day trips are also available.There is a programme of in house activities including monthly music sessions with a visiting activities manager.Pymhurst uses person centred planning to ensure all service users’ needs and choices are met.
Pymhurst is part of Just Homes, a group of six residential homes for adults with learning disabilities.As a group Just Homes has experience with challenging behaviour, dementia, autism, complex medical needs etc.Our home managers provide one another with support, back up and sharing their various expertise.
