The Grange at Bookham
The Grange is one of few places in Surrey which offers housing, care and a wide range of skills training and activities all on one beautiful site. Regulated by the Care Quality Commission, we are an eighty year old charity and a registered provider of social housing. Our services are most suited for people with mild to moderate disabilities. We celebrate our differences, and encourage everyone to decide to set their own goals and take confident steps towards them, be that learning to cook, finding a job, taking an IT qualification or volunteering in the local community. The Grange was founded in 1938 as Miss Julia Sweet’s School of Stitchery and Lace. She taught young women with disabilities the skills they needed to gain employment and support themselves. Our charity has evolved over the decades, but we are as true as ever to our ambition of supporting those with the greatest personal challenges to be more independent and to live their lives in the way they choose for themselves.
