Whiteley Homes Trust - Whiteley Village
Whiteley Village is a retirement community set in 230 acres of beautiful Surrey woodland near Walton on Thames. Operated by the Whiteley Homes Trust, a Registered Charity, the Village provides homes with care and support for older people in 262 Almshouse Cottages for more independent living, Extra Care Facilities at Huntley House (51 Flats) with a dedicated staff team to provide care and support as part of a personal care plan and a Care Home with Nursing care (Whiteley House) and Ingram House Residential Care Home for 27 people. All our care and support services are registered with the Care Quality Commission.
As our Charitable aims are to offer housing and support to older people of limited means and therefore we operate an application process with criteria in order for a person to be approved to move into our Cottages or Extra Care Scheme. Approval of applications is a responsibility of the Trustees. The criteria for the Care Homes (Whiteley House and Ingram House) are different and we welcome all applicants based on a needs assessment.
When someone comes to live at Whiteley Village they have the opportunity to participate in 25 Clubs and Associations including Golf, Art, Craft, Bowling, Bridge, Putting, Keep fit, line dancing to name but a few. The Village offers a range of facilities for Villagers including a General Store, Post Office, Licensed Bar, Bistro and Café, Guest House, Fishing Lake, a Hair Salon, a Village Hall and St. Mark’s Church all within easy walking distance of accommodation. The Village also operates a Village Shuttle Bus for those who need a little bit of help to get around.
