999 Calls

NHS Pathway integrating Urgent and Emergency Care

Dear All
From the 31 March 2011 the Strategic Health Authority are introducing some changes to the way that 999 calls are dealt with. The attached leaflet will provide you with background information and explain how the revised system will work. It is important that all your staff are aware of these changes.

In addition to the information leaflet I have also provided a link to the NHS Pathways website this provides additional information and a DVD . This fifteen minute DVD provides details of the system and with some case studies. This is an excellent training tool for your staff and I would encourage you to use it. To access the DVD click on the link below and you can then select the DVD.
