Halow Job Fair 2017

12 Sep, 2017

Everyone remembers the time someone - a teacher, a relative or a friend - gave them some great advice, lifted their spirits and made them feel they could push themselves out of their comfort zone to achieve what they really wanted. With some careful guidance and support we can all be the person we want to be and know how it feels to have that caring support.

Young people with a learning disability striving to become independent have often feel and see barriers to them living their own life at every turn. Life can be tough making yourself understood, being accepted, getting around and accessing opportunities. With kind and creative support, halow can transform the lives of young people so they feel confident, have the life skills they need to look after themselves, contribute to the wider community and live life to the full. halow has a great reputation for supporting young people to really achieve so much. Young people, families and practitioners value our approach and the outcomes for everyone. As a result we have more young people being referred every day and are looking to expand our team to meet the need in Surrey.

We are looking for people who are caring and proactive, can drive and have their own car and who are seeking a rewarding culture or new role which will challenge as well as provide excellent job satisfaction. Often siblings, relatives and friends of people with a learning disability make the best halow Buddies, but full training and support is guaranteed for everyone - I would encourage you to please share our current vacancies (full time, part time and term time hours across Surrey) and come along on Monday 25th September to our Guildford office to meet the team and hear some of the amazing stories of the achievements of our young people through the caring, positive and creative support of halow Buddies.

At halow we want everyone we work with to be supported to excel, our young people and our staff. For this reason we are committed to training and development, reflective practice and continuous improvement, staff welfare initiatives, generous annual leave and benefits package. The passion for the work we do is shared throughout the organisation and we celebrate all the achievements of our young people and the staff working with them.

Being a halow Buddy in halow care is the #BestJobByFar . Come and find out for yourself, tell your friends and help us find the right people to support young people with a learning disability to excel.

Monday 25th September 3pm -7pm halow, 11 Quarry Street, Guildford GU1 3UYhr@halowproject.org.uk and www.halowproject.org.uk
