Training the Carer aim to provide a high quality service in training, assessment and verification, taking into account the pressures care staff are faced with and the individual needs of the candidate. We pride ourselves on a flexible approach, high standards and building good relationships, enabling the candidate to complete their award.

We are a company comprising of a team of practising professionals, who aim to make a difference to the care that staff are able to deliver. We have over 40 years experience between us, as practising nurses and support care workers. Through this we are able to offer a wealth of experience, knowledge and skills to students.

We Provide: -

 Work based assessments at a time convenient to the candidate
 Awarding body registration and certification for NVQ’s
 NVQ’s in Health and Social Care (Adult pathway) levels 2, 3 & 4 and the RMA
 A range of tailored short courses to meet individual requirements
 All staff are CRB checked

Short courses we are able to offer include: -

 Manual Handling – Flexible tailored training – either half or full day courses, which can be organised on your premises and related to your specific clients

 First Aid – These range from 2hr CPR updates, Appointed Persons courses, 4 day First Aid at Work certificates along with the 2 day requalifiers and also courses relating to Children and Babies

 POVA – Protection of Vulnerable Adults – This can be tailored to meet your individual requirements

 Infection Control - This course gives an introduction to all aspects of infection control, ensuring that care staff are aware of their responsibilities in protecting themselves, their clients and the community from infection.

 Food hygiene awareness - This is a half day course on the fundamentals of food hygiene and how it relates to the care sector.

 Fire safety awareness - Classroom based half day course covering the basic elements of fire prevention and an introduction to the management of a fire.
