RNCC New rates from April 2010

Please find the attached an advice note from the DH regarding the revised NHS-funded Nursing Care payment rates for 2010/11. The rates increase by 2.25% which results in the following;
from 1 April 2010, for eligible care home residents:

· the standard rate will increase from £106.30 to £108.70 per week

· the high band will increase from £146.30 to £149.60 per week.

"Surrey County Council have asked SCA and others to encourage people with a LD (who have regular access to a PC) and those people that support them to come to one of the drop in sessions. SCC say they definitely need to hear their views The day is split in two with all presentations repeated, so people can drop into the event for a morning or afternoon and give their views.

SCA Older Peoples Project consulted with Providers regarding Surrey County Councils Commissioning Strategy - the response has been sent to SCC and is attached for reference.

Business Development Project – The future of older peoples provision in surrey

.The aim of this project which was jointly commissioned by Surrey County Council and Surrey Care Association and funded by Surrey County Council was to contribute to the Transformation Agenda by encouraging and supporting current and potential providers of services to work with Surrey County Council and Surrey Care Association in developing new and existing services for older people in Surrey.
