Chatsworth Training

Founded in 2001 by Susie Nicholson, a qualified Nurse (RGN), Chatsworth Training Services Ltd provides a total training solution for organisations operating in the Care Industry, from the smallest Nursing and Residential Homes, through to large Nursing and Care Agencies throughout London and the South East of England, as well as for local councils, NHS and PCTs. Many of our training courses are also very popular and widely used by schools and commercial and industrial businesses.

Our staff includes qualified nurses and highly experienced trainers, who bring together a range of complementary skills and expertise across business areas as wide ranging as the care sector, nursing, logistics and distribution, education, office management etc.

Training is delivered to your staff at your premises, on the days you choose. This gives you ultimate flexibility to minimise disruption to your business and maximise the impact of the training. It can be anything from on-off 3 hour sessions, to a full day (or days) made up of a range of modules to suit your needs. Our high level of repeat business is evidence of success – and as we get to know our clients, our training can be made even more specific to their organisation and methods.

Training Offered:

  • Accredited RSPH examination centre for Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene L2 and Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering. 
  • Our Moving & Handling of People, Food Hygiene couses fulfil criteria for Skills for Care funding
  • We provide all mandatory Care training in line with Common Induction Standards
  • Our training counts as underpinning knowledge for NVQ/QFC study.
  • We provide leadership and management training aimed at Care Providers
  • We provide a wide range of specialised clinical awareness courses for those involved in the care of people with particular disorders, from awareness and care of those with Parkinsons, MS, MND etc to the use and care of catheters, tracheostomy, PEG feeders and many more..

Specific Programmes Available:

For the Care Industry, we cover all the Common Induction Standards topics and mandatory training eg: Moving & Handling, First Aid, Medication Awareness, Abuse Awareness, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Infection Control, Fire Safety, and we also provide a wide range of more specialised topics such as Epilepsy, Dementia, Parkinsons, Multiple Sclerosis, Care of the Dying, Pressure Area Care, Continence Care, Foot & Nail Care, Managing Challenging Behaviour, thus providing underpinning knowledge and evidence for the new QCF system.

In line with the newly refreshed CIS, our short, succinct sessions on topics such as Person-Centred Care, Equality and Inclusion, Effective Communication and Risk Assessment and End of Life Care are an essential part of any training programme.

We also offer a range of modular Management Skills Development courses, such as Team Building and Management, Appraisals,  Supervision, Staff Recruitment and Effective Team Leading.

Approach:

In house. Short standard modules that stand alone or can combine to form a tailored training programme.

Fees:

£100 - £130 per hour or day-rate by negotiation
