Developments in the policy for Do not Attempt Resuscitation (DNAR)

Please note that NHS has launched a revised policy and paperwork for the Do Not attempt Cardio- Pulmonary  Resuscitation. Please remove your old policy and replace it with a revised policy and paperwork which reflects the new guidance,  This is a more comprehensive package then the previous one and consists of the following

1                     Letter outlining  the changes

2                     DNACPR Red Form which is the client/ patients copy

3                     DNACPR Grey form which is the record of the decision made.

4                     Appendix 3 Which is a copy of the RCN/BM A/UK Reseus Statement

5                     Appendix  4 Frequently asked questions

6                     Appendix 5 Training programme / assessment for senior nurses

7                     Appendix 6 Record of competency training.

As a result of raising concerns about the out of hours GP service with NHS Surrey we now have a named contact at Thames Doc. When Providers have concerns about the service they receive for Thames Doc they should raise their concerns with Susan Goodwin. Her contact details are:

Skills for Care have issued a revised listing of training eligible for WFDF funds. This increases the units that are eligible.

The new list can be found here.

Claiming now is important - if we don't spend the allocation it will be reclaimed!
