Be Alert

A possible contact to be aware of regarding "Care Quality"

A provider has alerted us to a woman calling from “Care Quality” saying she was sending documentation asking for details to check our names and addresses and logo. The provider thought she was from CQC as she also referred to the fact that we were receiving this because it was the chosen time period - both of these facts alluding to the fact they were from CQC.


A few hours later another call confirming was received saying a colleague had rung up earlier and was sending this documentation which would be published and it would cost me £175 or £195 – when asked he said they were Care Quality Publishing. SCA are unable to find anything listed on internet.

They could be genuine and a new publication but do ask questions before paying any money over.

Funding for Training

Skills for Care have issued a revised listing of training eligible for WFDF funds. This increases the units that are eligible.

The new list can be found here.

Claiming now is important - if we don't spend the allocation it will be reclaimed!
